Keep clean, refreshing drinking water readily available throughout the day with this sleek-looking countertop water-filtration system. The dispenser provides a single spigot and two push-button controls: one for room-temperature water and the other for chilled water (a blue LED light indicates when the water has properly chilled to 44 degrees F). Enjoy cool drinking water on its own, mixed with ice and a lemon or lime wedge, or added to flavored drink mixes for instant lemonade, fruit punch, or other favorites on a hot day. The filtration system offers a 1-1/2-gallon capacity: its upper water tank holds about a 1/2 gallon of unfiltered water, the lower tank holds about a 3/4 gallon of filtered water, and the internal cold-water tank holds about a 1/4 gallon. In addition to its removable, upper water tank with a flip-top lid for easy filling, the water dispenser comes equipped with a GF-80 filter, which reduces contaminants such as lead (98.7 percent), chlorine (taste and odor; 97.5 percent), mercury (92.8 percent), benzene (84.1 percent), cadmium (96.6 percent), copper (85 percent), tetrachloroethylene (92.5 percent), and toluene (89.8 percent). The filter lasts for about three months of average household use. Other details include a 12-week filter timer, a removable plastic drainage plug at the bottom of the unit, and an easy-to-clean design. The water-filtration system measures approximately 11 by 10-1/2 by 17-1/2 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty. The CleanWater 2-gallon water filtration system in a convenient compact design features hot, cold, and room temperature water so consumers can use it for more than just drinking water. It can be used to prepare hot tea, hot chocolate, instant oatmeal, baby formula, steaming vegetables, cooking rice, and even pasta. Pour yourself a glass of fresher, cleaner, filtered water for a refreshing drink without opening the refrigerator or a bottle or heating a kettle; easy touch pad controls dispenses water chilled at 44 degrees Fahrenheit, room temperature or hot at 194 degrees Fahrenheit on demand. The filter life is 3 month's average household use and processes 48 gallons of tap water, the equivalent of more than 500 store-bought plastic water bottles.
Great for the price!! I bought this and wasn't sure what to expect. After quite a bit of research I did know this is a smokin deal for a filter which is NSF 42 and 53 certified. (You need that.) I also checked out replacement filter costs and frequency and this unit is very reasonable. Pros: It filters water very well. I live in LA and the tap water is horrid. Both my Husband and I like the taste. Filters are cheap and easy to instal. Whole thing is SUPER easy to use. Cons: The Cold and Hot tanks only fill up one glass each before they have to do their thing to make it hot or cold. I was expecting something like a tankless water heater where the water runs past the hot coils. This has tanks... It takes what seems like a long time to filter but once you get it going and you continually add water to the top you won't run out. This is not a con but you should definitely read the instructions on how to treat the filter before installing and using. ;) I didn't do it right so I just had to drain it and start over. Not that big of a deal. Overall, I love it. Money well spent!! Cuisinart CleanWater System I own the 2 gallon Cuisinart CleanWater System and have been using it for 3 weeks with no problems. The cold water is cold, and the hot water is HOT. Set up was minimal with the exception of soaking the filter. I have not experienced any leakage or any problems whatsoever. My family has not bought bottled water since we started using this. I really love the design and how it fits neatly in the corner of my kitchen counter tops. Love this water filtration system! We just received our Cuisinart water filtration system from Amazon on Friday and have been using it all weekend. The directions to set it up are easy to follow and really looks nice in our kitchen. Like many people we wanted to go away from bottled water to help the environment and save money at the same time. We selected the WCH-1500 to pick up the hot water feature and it immediately replaced our tea kettle which has sat on the stove for years. The temperature is perfect and instant hot water is a real plus.
